Searching for Non-Student Evaluators for this Year’s Ian Lancashire Promise Award

It’s that time of year again! Every year CSDH/SCHN awards the Ian Lancashire Promise Award to the best student paper at the conference (the donation by Ian Lancashire, that started the award, set the criteria, including that it must be for a solo paper about the student’s project, as opposed to another format, or for a supervisor’s project). The prize is announced at our AGM on the final day of the conference, and the students receive a small cash award, a certificate, and an opportunity to submit their work to our peer-reviewed journal, Digital Studies / Le champ numérique.

We would love to ask non-student attendees to sign up to evaluate presentations (especially if you were planning to attend or chair a particular panel anyway).  Evaluation is straightforward and consists of completing an online evaluation form. The sign up sheet includes a list of sessions and presenters, locations, and a link to the evaluation form. We need a minimum of two evaluators per paper.

Get in touch for access to the sign-up sheet by emailing (jpolycko[at]uoguelph.ca)

Your support with evaluating graduate student presentations helps to sustain and build our organization and all efforts and participation are appreciated!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly via that same email (jpolycko[at]uoguelph.ca) .

Thank you! Looking forward to convening in Montreal!
